They have. 2 in a row to start and then 4 in a row. He’s started 7 games to 3 now going to be 4.
I’m not sure there’s a simple answer here and it does kind of stretch back to last season. Mainly it’s a volatile position and a young goalie I wouldn’t want to risk getting rattled. For the team I imagine it’s just hoping one can be reliably average now and not having the luxury of sticking with him too long.

I am absolutely OUTRAGED at how accurate this statement is.
I guess I shouldn't pick on ZAR overmuch. He's basically a clone of the entire bottom six right now. Utterly vanilla and ineffective at anything except kinda glomming around getting in the way, occasionally.
I'm like Dave Bowman when I look at this bottom six -- "My god... it's full of ZARs!"

Petts isnt going anywhere until Dumoulin is back. Even then it wouldn't surprise me to see Dumoulin be the one to go.
Petts makes less, is younger, is signed longer, and is better.
