Yeah there is. Theres clearly a difference in how the game is called for teams that are winning and teams that are losing. Also for when a team has a lot of penalties versus a team with very few. It's pretty much impossible to argue otherwise

I’d say as much as anything the refs fear being called homers calling a penalty to give the leafs a power-play. Pretty sure last year we had one of, if not the lowest power play opportunity’s in the league. Odd for such a fast skilled team.

The only truly shit call was the Kerfoot "trip." The problem is we all know refs manage games to keep PPs relatively even and to avoid favouring the leading team, yet we aren't seeing that over the last few games.
