Just posted this in the PGT. His game is predicated on physical play. His number of hits is lower than last year, while his total number of games and TOI is higher. That’s a player not playing his game. He needs to get back to playing a physical brand of hockey. That’s going to lead to chances
He was playing well with Reaves and Rooney. They way they played their game, they all did their jobs and fed off each other and we finally had a consistent 4th line.
When he’s with panarin/strome, he’s not playing that banging get the puck deep style. the only thing McKegg might have on Hunt is speed. But I’d much rather go back to Hunt-Rooney-Reaves and use McKegg to spell Reaves from time to time if need be.
Why Hunt is up with panarin/Strome instead of Chytil/LaF is just plane dumb and a mystery.
It’s just as aggravating to me as Barron not getting and extended 3rd line look with Goodrow
