On the bright side the Islanders AHL team is going to have an awesome defence core...
Looked solid in the preseason. He’s a vet with experience. He’s not expected to be more than a 6-7 Defensman.
Remember the Name Devon Toews.
Remember the Name Devon Toews.
Toews has been the second best d man only to pulockHuh. #7 popcorn eater, or have some of the young D on the Island really been that bad in camp?
In Lou we trust.
He’s going full something.
Lou is gunning for a 20% chance at Hughes. Smart signing.

Shouldn't you Leaf fans be more concerned with Nylander not wanting to play in Toronto than the Islanders signing a #7?

We’re just waiting for Barzal to hit free agency.
Matthews and Marner have contracts...and Willie will shortly.Boy it's so easy for the Toronto Maple Leafs to sign young talent.
Except Nylander.
And Matthews.
And Marner.
He can look solid for stretches because fundamentally he has good tools, but he just has no toolbox and serves up "pizzas" all the time. So when he goes on a stretch where coincidentally he makes no glaring mistakes he's capable of tricking people that he could actually be a good dman.
Anyways, don't see what the $$$ amount is but it's a shame for him that Vegas picked him in the expansion. If he was still on Vancouver Benning probably would have given him a 4 year $16 million extension.

The irony is that his new head coach won the cup when he was the one who lost in the finals.
and you guys have matt harvey oh wait...You guys got JT, we got Syndergaard...I'm cool with it.

I would be if they didn't just sign this one guy who you may have heard of.Shouldn't you Leaf fans be more concerned with Nylander not wanting to play in Toronto than the Islanders signing a #7?
