"Krylya Sovetov team announced that Petrov is moving overseas, so I guess that means he will play for the OHL's North Bay Battalion next season."

pulled from Petrov thread in the prospect area.

I know he was prepared to come last year, just wasnt sure about this coming year

Here is the latest from Brock Otten on a present Battalion player followed by an announcement on '19-'20’s captain:

Avery Winslow - Looked like one of the most improved players at the Erie showcase. Dominated at both ends of the ice and his mobility is a major plus. With a full season leading the North Bay blueline, he's probably a surefire draft selection. Under the radar.

The Acadia Axemen are proud to welcome forward Luke Moncada to the program. After 4 years of junior in the OHL, Luke played last year in the AHL with the Cleveland Monsters.

North bay “prospect” that ditched the Battalion for College route, Justin Ertel, drafted in the 3rd round. Before any actual Battalion property, hopefully the last time it happens for a while.

Not to nitpick but, do you think Nelson should be too pair over chrisopoulos?

Ertel joining would be amazing…

You’re not at all. I do since he was the first overall pick and Winslow will be a monster this year.

I would trade Rose and work with the 7D signed. We will soon find out who will be paired with who. We also don’t know what we have in Lukin yet.

Yea, I don’t have high hopes for Lukin, not sure where he will fit. Time will tell! I do like the idea of Nelson riding shotgun with Winslow but also don’t want to torch him against top competition. Training camp and preseason will clear some questions up. Very excited to see what we have!

Thanks, D12.

Game 1: Goaltender Dom DiVincentiis (North Bay Battalion) was a difference-maker for Team White, turning aside 25 of the 26 shots he faced in 30 minutes of action.
Game 2: Domenic DiVincentiis (North Bay Battalion) took over in net for Team White 6:18 into the second period and was good for 11 saves on 12 shots.

And Ty Nelson has 3A in the 2 games.

Nelson 1g 3a in 3 games
DiVencentiis allowed 5 on 30 shots, worst game thus far, but no worse than the other goalie

edit: wrong goalie numbers refer to lower post

If I am reading Hockey Canada website game summary correctly, 47 shots, 5 goals, 42 saves, SV% .894.

today. 3 game total should be 8/85 - 0.906 sv%; anyone check if that’s best among goalies in camp?

Looks like Filion has best stats, 8 goals against on 107 shots. Dom is second, the other 2 goalies have much worse statlines
