Sabathia is making 25 million next year. He'd be an okay guy to have if the Yankees ate half of that contract.

No, he wouldn't be.

Sanchez, Stroman, Estrada and Happ are all signed for next year.

No reason to spend over $12 million on a 5th starter when they have Hutch still on the 40-man.

Invest that money elsewhere. Especially when they face the prospect of Bautista, EE and Saunders leaving as free agents.

It would have to be a deal similar to the deal we just made with San Diego for Upton.

If we can do that i'd be ok with him. Otherwise i don't see why we'd want to waste budget on him. I don't see the Yankees doing it though. They don't NEED to cut salary and probably want him to start for them his last season.

Could do worse than Sabathia though.

I'm amazed people are interested in CC Sabathia. There are better and cheaper options than him. No point in helping a division rival just to get damaged goods. Also, the focus should be on the bullpen. Jays need another bullpen guy that can take the pressure off of Osuna.
