I wasn't super impressed with the first alpha test they put out last summer, but I played through the entirety of this new demo and enjoyed it. There was definitely a Dark Souls moment of me getting my ass kicked by a boss for a while but then eventually beating him without getting hit.

Plays like a feudal Japan Bloodborne, but will probably have a more deliberate narrative and seems to be a bit more complex system-wise.

Well I obviously have to get it because it borrows heavily from my two favourite game franchises (Ninja Gaiden and Souls).

Didn't get to try the latest demo but saw some videos of it, looks promising.

I've played most of the ninja gaidens and never had that experience, especially not on the normal difficulties.

You don't hit hard at all in this game in the short time I had. Especially not as hard as ninja gaiden where a charge attack is usually a one hit kill.

Nioh's review embargo is lifted 5 days before the game comes out, which hopefully means they're confident with the product.

Good time to order it with Amazon Prime, get the deal, and if it's not too hot with the reviews you can just cancel it.

Reviews are coming in, Metacritic of 85%, a lot of 90`s as well.

I am pumped!

Jim Sterling gave it a 10. This guy's average review score is like 6.5.

Also like how all these reviews throw shade at Lords of the Fallen at some point.

Is action mode really only 720p? It looks decent, definitely couldn't tell myself when I tried it out.

Loved Ninja Gaiden, Onimusha, and Dark Souls and this game looks to be a combination of the three. Definitely picking this up day 1. Love the loot system too, I expect this game will be incredible. Hope I'm right!
