As for the first part of your post - makes sense now. I looked at Bjugstad's stats and I was like "no way HE led his team in scoring... did Lee or Nelson lead the isles one year??"

Yikes. That is a pretty crazy stat.

Lee ......... 746 gp.....257g......188a......445 pts.... 23-24... 29 pts.

Bjugstad.. 685 gp.... 144g..... 159a.....303 pts.... 23-24...37 pts.

Nelson, and both NYI players are clearly ahead in the stats department, but Bjugstad is having a mini resurgence in the desert. I think one of his back surgeries finally started to have a positive effect, as he looks to be skating and playing more freely than in previous years. Nelson, statistically speaking, having close to one of his best years. Lee, not so much.

This is actually my favorite threadable time. Pretty cool that it was started when all three were just prospects before becoming pros and here we are 15 years later all three are still in the NHL and I’ve had pretty good careers.
