Mariners/NHL Seattle tie in? Root Sports to make a play for regional broadcasting?
Analysis: Contrary to Forbes’ ranking, the Mariners are worth more than you know
It appears that no name is dead for the Seattle team. Doubt Leiweke will decide on the team name and he is saying the right things to
a Vancouver audience. ( Respect the Vancouver blue green colors but also look to understand the heritage of hockey in Seattle. Its simply to say the process is just beginning.
I preferred the PILOTS. A nod to the 1960s baseball team.
I just don't want the Kraken, no squid please
It's still the aviation capital of America, even if Boeing left for Chicago a decade ago.Does a team that could only last a season in Seattle deserve a nod?

Seattle, South Carolina, and wherever else they can build them in the future with more favorable labor rates and more reasonable property values and labor laws. It's only the headquarters that are in Chicago but the aircraft are still assembled in the Seattle region aren't they?

Still Pilots is an easy team name that could be used again, without major issues.Does a team that could only last a season in Seattle deserve a nod?
