For those who didn't see it. Backstory is that the refs allowed 1.1 seconds to come off the clock towards the end of OT and didn't put the time back on. Werenski scores .2 seconds after the whistle blows to end OT and the game goes to shootout. In the shootout, Korpisalo gets injured and they have to put in a rookie goaltender that was cold off the bench and they lose the game.

He'll get fined by the NHL but he definitely isn't wrong. The NHL should have some sort of explanation for not allowing the 1.1 or so seconds back on the clock

never liked him as a coach...but gosh darnit, love his passion and entertainment value in press conferences.

and he's entirely right. right up there with VAR and EPL

Penguins might actually be in trouble with Guentzel getting hurt. He was on an absolute tear recently and already has 20 goals. Going to be tough to replace that kind of goal scoring in the lineup

Sadly the NHL don't want truth and it takes coaches like Torts to state it and get fined. Torts vs Bettman would make a great revenue boxing match.
