I know he and Avs didn't part on the best of terms, but I hope Parenteau does well with Isles. I have a soft spot for anyone taking the long way to the NHL.

At this point I would wager there is a less than 10% chance that anything is done this weekend. Guess I can stop compulsively checking Twitter now.

Guenin back to the Ducks organization. Would have been nice to bring him back for the youngsters in SA, but good luck to him.

You know he would have been called up as soon as an injury hit.

No, I think they've learned their lesson in that regard. When he was sent down the last time it was pretty clear that was a one way trip. I'd have been fine with him as one of the callups though.

I'm satisfied with Colorado's off-season thus far, but man it would've been sweet to exchange Barrie for a forward and follow it by signing Demers to the contract Florida gave him.

The dream would have been sign Demers, trade Barrie for Draisaitl. Have Demers be a steady presence on the second pairing, develop everyone for a year, and build a really, really nice offense.

Guenin was fine in AHL last season. It was the 150 NHL games that was the problem with him.

He could have helped Rampage this year, but they should have some decent defenders as it is.

So if the Avs do those rumours and trade Duchene for Trouba and trade Barrie for Draisailt and Yak...it's actually better ?

Demers apparently left a lot of money on the table just to join the Panthers. AVS are just not an attractive team for UFA's.

Been MIA last few days but Rads signing that contract with the Habs, kinda stings...would've preferred that that the singings the avs actually made.

Radulov wants to make a big splash this year and then sign that big contract with term next year. No better place than on Montreal's 1st line if you want to be under the spotlights. It would have been pretty pointless to play in Denver this year where there's no journalist and only a small following (compared to Montreal).

It was a smart decision.

It would be nice to see another Winchester-like signing and then see Mitchell get traded. I wouldn't be opposed to Dominic Moore if he cost less than 1M. Ditto Matt Cullen.

You play well enough you get paid. By this logic, small market teams never get their superstars paid and that's just not the case obviously. Teams scout other teams regardless if there's media covering them or not.

I find it hard to believe if that avs offered that same contract he wouldn't have signed here.
