I could see it honestly but hope it doesn't happen - and I'd really like to see Hughes wearing red and black.

From a marketing perspective it would be a fail. Promoting having a #1 pick vs trading for a #5 pick from 2 years ago doesn't resonate with the casual fan. Not that it's the reason for not making a trade like that - at least let's hope not.

I'm sorry but there is no scenario (short of Trading Hughes for McDavid) that I see for the Devils to trade the #1(aka Hughes).

I enjoyed the break after pick number 4.

It gave me time to realize that in Monty Hall & Deal or No Deal mathematical probability the odds were it would be 1) Devils 2) Rangers 3) Blackhawks.

In fact, I was confident Chicago would go #3 because of it, it was #1 or #2 that I was nail biting over. Oh the feeling once the New Jersey placard was turned over!
