Picking 1st, 2nd or 3rd will be great.

When you have a choice between Wright, Cooley, Slafkovsky, Jiricek, and Nemec, among others, you're in good shape.

There is some interesting dynamics to this draft that we never seen before. The max 10 spot movement is going to confuse people.

Knights, Canucks, Jets, Islanders can't get 1st or 2nd but they can move down 9 or 10 spots depending on which lottery draw they win. If any one of these teams move down when they reveal the order from 16 down, the key area for the Habs is to see if they moved down 10 spots or 9 spots. If this happens, picks 7-3 will be interesting.

So if any of Montreal, Columbus's 12th overall, Isles, Jets, Canucks & Sabres' 16th overall from Vegas win the lottery, Habs are picking 1st overall.

It's a shame badly run teams are even rewarded with good players, what a silly concept, but let's not look a gift horse in the mouth. This season was painful, not sure if we can do it again -- so I hope whoever we get is a "Franchise Player" we can build around.

He should bank that mojo and keep it for 2023.
It feels like we deserve our turn at a Bedard player but even if it’s “just Fantili” 2023 should also be a great draft
