Lol, it must just be you. I can score like 10 or more goals a came with sliders completely in my favour and on rookie.

Well, I'm at a loss for what I would need to do differently. Doesn't matter if I get 25 shots or 45 shots, I score twice if I'm lucky.

Shooting from every part of the rink, every different type of shot I can think of. My favourite are when I've gotten a 2-on-0 down low, and the puck just goes softly into the goalies pads. So good.

Oh well, doesn't matter now. Just snapped the disc in half, oops.

Anybody know if the problems with GM Connected are still there, like how people can play on different difficulties and with sliders changed?

Sorry but with the sliders all the way up and settings at rookie any wrist shot from the blue-line has a 50/50 chance of going in, so I doubt thats true. And not very smart to snap the disc when you can sell it back :shakehead

That was patched a while ago.

Yesterday's update apparently stabilized the servers.

GM Connected is still using the "old" rosters though--none of the new CHL prospects are availalble, etc.

So sick of EASHL ever since everybody got their legend cards. It used to be fun as a goalie because they had to make actual hockey plays, but now that everybody's figured out how to play like a weasely *********, all the game is now is: pass to opposing forward, AI lets him walk in for a breakaway, have him somehow manage to weasel it in though an impossible to save method.

Seriously, pretty much done with EASHL at this point. Is it that hard for EA to make a game that isn't just an annoying pain in the ass for goalies?

in regards to the roster update, any chance they will add in recently-retired players that AREN'T on Legends teams?

Lidstrom, for example, is nowhere to be found in the game...i'd love to have him on Detroit, at least in a created/custom team or something....

any way to do that?

Isn't he still on Team Sweden?

This game worth 45$ for a guy that has not played an EA NHL hockey game since the Pat Kane cover one, and mostly just plays offline be a GM+maybe a few online games vs co workers the odd time? (though I might try gm connected, just to see)

I ask b/c I hear alot of venom about the game, but it seems like it's mostly stuff that I would not notice the diff on in the modes I use.

I've given up on EASHL this year, had enough of it last year because this is all people do. Get legend cards and exploit the system then jump around after every goal like they won the Cup.

Got into HUT this year and wish I had just done that all along the last couple years, so much more satisfying to play a game without some idiot stick slapping puck hog on your team.

Offline it's the best NHL game since 2009. I highly recommend it, I was about done with EA NHL until this one came out, redeemed the franchise.

The problem as one of the devs explained it at Community Day is that once a player retires from the NHL, the NHLPA no longer owns his rights for promotional purposes, so EA has to negotiate with each individual player.

Oh I know and yet you still have people whining about attribute caps on EA's forums :shakehead

I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to see EA remove attribute customization and just go with straight 80s across the board for every EASHL player.

EASHL doesn't stand for EA Sports Hockey League ... No no no no no ... It stands for Exploit Attributes, Shoot High League ...

Yakopov and JT Miller, amongst others, are completely gone from the game. This lockout's gone too far

Got a replacement copy, started a new GM mode game for some self-punishment.

Shots 38-10 in my favour, lose 2-0.
Shots 31-14 in my favour, lose 1-0.
Shots 35-13 in my favour, lose 1-0.
SCORED A GOAL!!!! Lose 3-1.

8 games, 4 goals for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it's worth the money to play offline. Be a GM has its flaws, but it has improved and it's a lot of fun. Some adjustment time is needed to catch up with the changes, but nothing too huge.

Ya, figured I'd have to adjust, so I'd likely miss or overlook some of the gripes the annual buyers might have.

Thanks for the feedback!

Then don't play with AI D. Find a club that has people who DON'T let the same move happen over and over again.

Seriously, pretty much done with EASHL at this point. Is it that hard for EA to make a game that isn't just an annoying pain in the ass for goalies?

This one isn't. I find it to be the best they've ever done with goalies.

I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to see EA remove attribute customization and just go with straight 80s across the board for every EASHL player.

I wouldn't. There is a vast enormity of playstyles that people use, and in turn, different attribute levels that need to be used to optimize it.
80's across the board and lack of customization completely eliminates the ability to be a power forward and work your way to the net through superior strength because everyone is even with you. It removes your ability to play like a Bure-player and use your superior speed to burn everyone, because everyone is equally as fast as you.

Furthermore, now every defenseman has a scoring touch, and people who play like grinders are SOL because they no longer have the ability to grind people down because they're victims of the exact same effect.

Making everybody have 80's across the board would be a terrible horrific decision for this game. You think people all do the same thing now? Wait until everybody has the exact same player and then tell me how much "better" the game got. People who do cheesy things will learn to do cheesy things in any circumstances. All that this would do is take away your ability to build to counter it.

goalie controls are hideous....any tips out there?
are there any control options that will allow simple saves to be made via like X/B/A/Y etc?
