NHL 13 HUT Thread (Both Systems) - Part 11

I found the best way for me was to really get to know the 95-99 chemistry lines, then start building a team that had really good chemistry full of players I like, whose styles work with each other.

In two weeks I was able (through promo market crashes and all) to build my team that's posted above and includes such large ticket items as: Chara, Myers, SOTW Lecavalier, Zetterberg, Nash, Mike Richards, and more.

Biggest differences I've found in team performance are good chemistry, good coach (though I'd still like to upgrade to Samuels), and if you happen to know hockey well enough to forecheck properly, you'll own the glitchers.

And for god's sakes learn the skating engine and take advantage of gliding!!!

Ice tilt must love you. I sold off a sotw, forgot who, for 80k and built a team to start with, to be honest, but you can always try to win steals and make deals on this forum with trades. Everyone on here is fair

My main question is do I try to sell Loungo then? and then what, buy these ridiculous mega packs that I keep seeing?

I have him Howard and Lindback, I should probably try to sell one of the three?

Knock on wood, I've never had a goalie injured, so I always have traded my third goalie, as they never get used. Up to you who to sell, but I've always had success with my sotw bishop and ward. Luongo money can get you the awesome pair of j Bo and burns if you shop right

J. Johnson - Weber
Bouwmeester - Burns

There are my defensive pairings. I have the second and third pairs flipped because I like having JBo - Burns fresh all the time. JJ - Weber are more of my defensive zone specialists and offensive faceoff point shot specialists.

Phaneuf - Myers has been unreal for me. Dion is a beast at both ends and Myers kind of slips into a more defensive role.

Mine are j Johnson-green
Sotw orpik (A)- karlsson
J Bo- burns. I like using them as a third line as well, they get plenty of ice time and stay fresh, j Bo is clutch for me on offense, along with Eric staal, they score big late goals for me

I'd pick up SOTW Bishop for 5k if you can find one, though their value kicked up the last couple days it seems, then I'd sell one of your old guys and luo go, beef up the d with size and speed, or Chara if you have enough

I got my SOTW Bishop for 4k and it was probably the best investment I've made so far. He's 27-4-1, all games online, and has a .917 save % and tons of shutouts. That's by far the best save % I've ever gotten from a goalie, my previous goalie, Pavelec, was at .875.

Who do you guys recommend for PKers (forwards)? Preferably a full 4th line? I'd like some fast guys that can hit (don't have to be scorers). I was thinking maybe Stoll as a center because of his crazy faceoff rating, and maybe Clarkson on the right wing...

Gagne has done me we'll. Anyone can hit in this game, seriously. Like i don't care if it's patrick kane, hold down boost and hit them after two strides and Kane could take out Chara.

Getz is my captain and he's been incredible for me, he's well over a PPG. He just does EVERYTHING both offensively and defensively, been all I could ask for out of a 1st line center. I can't imagine how amazing the SOTW version is but I'll never be able to afford it.

If you think regular Getzlaf amazing, you'll lose your ****ing mind if you ever get to use the SOTW version. By far my favorite player to use.

Stoll or a Staal brother at center, Pavelski at right wing and Hartnell on the left are great PKers.

I got an angry message on live from the last guy who tried to do that to my chara with Kane. Needless to say, Kane was injured when I intentionally lost the puck and plastered him with Chara!

Does Milan Lucic count? I like to put him and Horton on Stoll's wings down there at times.

Also. Human players seem to just never fight. Do fights get you big puck penalties? I can't even get someone to fight when I challenge them with Eberle, and what I really want is to fight their number one player with mine, the big Zee.

Opened 2 packs, best player I got was Pietrangelo, in fact thats tge best player I ever pulled. Pretty much have given up on ever pulling a star player. Gotta keep grinding I guess.

I had one of those on a smaller scale the other day, posted mike Fisher for 5k during a crash and he sold in 5 seconds.

Went to check his going rate and there were 7 available at 1k. So I bought them and sold them all for 2k. I felt good about singlehandedly raising the price of a player I had 8 of lol
