Anyone doing a Be a GM with the Devils (and EA's rosters) know if Damon Severson ends up being good quickly ? Like, what's his overall after 2-3 seasons ?

In my 2nd season with the Devils. for the first season he was in the juniors, so i'm not exactly sure what his overalls are. I'll post an update on the rookie's overalls in the next bit.

I'm currently playing with Chicago. I'm 26th place in league after 16 games.

I could do bigger post someday, if you want?

I'm not the devils, but season 3 hes 62 overall.

Although he's 4 stars and the player with the 5th highest trade value on the devils

2014-2015

Zetterberg (89)- Datsyuk (95)- Sedin (90)
Filppula (82)- Jarnkrok (81)- Nyquist (84)
Tatar (79)- Helm (80)- Mursak (79)
Abdelkader (77)- Emmerton (76)- Andersson (75)
Tootoo(76)

Smith (88)- OEL (86)
Quincey (83)- White (84)
Siemens (79)- Ristolainen (81)
Sullivan (74)

Price (90)
Gustavsson (75)

Ratings may be a bit off and I may be missing a forward or two. I drafted Ristolainen before I knew he was a stud in the game, Sullivan I created and hasn't got much better really and he's 4.5 green. Siemens I got with a trade from Ferraro and a 2nd. OEL I don't remember how I got him. Price was Howard, Frazen, ++. And Sedin in free agency, I offered him like 1 million less and he accepted.

Trade one to a team that needs a goalie for a couple stars. See what you can get for one of them.

I am going to play one of the 4.5 green stars in the in the minors till he gets to his full potential then I will trade him for stars or picks depending on the team I have. The other two with fight for the job in the NHL

I highly doubt he'll ever reach his full potential by strictly playing in the AHL. It's better for him to just ship him away for an NHL ready player to fill a hole in your roster.

Gaunce is a huge stud in offline game at least, however they are a bit different in GM Connected - such as Ryan Pulock is usually a monster after 1 season but in my GMC, he is only 60ish.

As for Setoguchi I don't know, probably stays about the same rating he now has. I would not sell Gaunce cheaply.

Yesterday I traded:

:flames Jay Bouwmeester and Andrew McDonald

For

:hawks Jonathan Toews

I acquired Toews at the entry draft, his contract was over and I later signed him for over 11m. Good thing I had cap space. (Bouwmeester and McDonald had a Combined cap hit of over 9m).

I'm in the 2015-16 season and Ristolainen is still a 61 :S

However, the Edmonton Oilers are turning into a force. After winning the Stanley Cup in the 2014-15 season (in their first playoff appearance since the 05-06 season), they shocked their fans by trading Conn Smythe winner Jonathan Bernier to the Islanders for a 1st round pick, signing UFA Malcolm Subban, and trading for young defenceman Griffin Reinhart.

Notable off-season occurences and notes:

Acquired Griffin Reinhart for Eric Roy (4* 68 overall d-man), 2016 2nd, and 2016 3rd. Reinhart takes the #2 spot and bumps Jeff Petry down to the second pairing.
Traded Conn Smythe winner Jonathan Bernier and Anton Lander for NYI 2016 1st.
Traded Sebastien Wannstrom for WSH 2016 1st.
Signed UFA Malcom Subban (85 Overall, 4.5*).
Jordan Eberle makes a big jump from 85 overall to 89 overall.
Sven Baerstchi drops from 86 to 85 overall despite playing on the first line for first time in his career.
Nail Yakupov sticks at an 85 overall despite putting up 40 goals and 42 assists.
RNH is the team's leading scorer for the second year in a row, putting up 31 goals and 53 assists.
Morissey takes a huge leap from 82 overall to 88 overall and replaces Ryan Whitney on the top pairing.

Edmonton Oilers 2015-16 Lineup:

Hall (88) - RNH (88) - Yakupov (85)
Baerstchi (85) - J Staal (86) - Eberle (89)
MPS (79) - Dubinsky (82) - Callahan (83)
Hartikainen (75) - Campbell (74) - Aliu (75)

Morissey (88) - Reinhart (85)
Whitney (86) - Petry (86)
Schultz (84) - Leddy (84)

Subban (85)
Bunz (83)

Notable Minor-Leaguers:
MacKinnon (71 ovr, 4.5*)
S Reinhart (75 ovr, 4.5*)
Hamilton (70 ovr, 4.5*)
V Rask (69 ovr, 4*)
Dumba (62 ovr, 4*)
Ristolainen (61 ovr, 3.5*)
Galchenyuk (68 ovr, 2.5*)

Early 2015-16 Season Notes:

Despite regaining his spot on the top line after an impressive playoff performance, Taylor Hall is struggling mightily with a measly 3 goals and 5 assists in 18 games. Meanwhile, Baertschi is making a case to regain his top line spot posting 17 points in 18 games; however, he has displayed great chemisty with Jordan Staal.
Eberle is off to a decent start with 19 points in 18 games despite playing second line minutes. RNH is close behind with 18 points in 18 games.
Jordan Staal is on-pace for a career year with 17 points in 18 games.
Griffin Reinhart is having a strong first season with the Oilers, starting the season with 12 points in 18 games.
Malcom Subban has big shows to fill this season after replacing last year's Conn Smythe winner and Vezina runner-up, Jonathan Bernier who posted a remarkable 1.86 GAA and .929 SV% last season. While Subban hasn't lived up to Bernier's level yet, he's off to a decent start with a .923 SV%, 2.54 GAA, and a 10-4-4 record.

Land of no calls..
Traded a stagnated prospect for Florida's 1st rounder in 2017 to start the 16-17 season. They ended up finishing dead last and I had the first overall. Drafted a player named Jay Little. 6'7 and 254lbs with 4.5 green stars and 62 overall. Jumped to a 77 overall after one year in the AHL.

These player sizes are insane. My entire 1st line in the AHL is 6'4+, and my top-pairing is made up of two 6'8 240lb defenders that bump into someone and send them flying across the ice. Makes for quite a few "interference" penalties. :shakehead

Another big offer. I know what these two guys become, but I need some help here. Guy offered me Myers and Lars Eller + 2013 3rd round pick for Seguin. Myers has a higher trade value than Seguin, but do you think I'm strong enough offensively?
Here's my team.
Sharp(87)-Getzlaf(88)-Roy(86)
Jones(79)-Seguin(84)-Alfredsson(84)
Nyquist(75)Tlusty(77)-Clarkson(81)
Olesz(74)-Smith(76)-Mackenzie(75)

Defense:
Martin(85)-Karlsson(86)
Hannan(81)-Gilbert(83)
Lebda(76)-Fistric(80)

Goalie:
Backstrom(87)

This is GM Connected btw. Random roster league. I guess I could always trade myers for someone better than Seguin, but does anyone have an opinion? Do I really need Seguin on offense considering my 1st line?

I thought green ment that they will hit their potential no matter what if not then I will trade him.
