Lions at Packers that last game of the season could be for the final wildcard spot. I don't see Carolina winning more than 1 of their final 3 and suddenly the Vikings can't score points.

lol so if the eagles lose and panthers lose today and tomorrow, skins can move into #6 seed with a win over titans and a lions win over vikings right?

i know its crazy idea that it all happens that way but it could

After last night, Panthers are basically eliminated from the NFC wild card race.

2 of: Seattle, Minnesota, Philadelphia and Washington are alive for the spots.

The latter two teams are alive for their division, but it requires the Cowboys losing out and either one winning out.

Definitely going to be an interesting finish. Even though I hate them, part of me wants to see Foles and the Eagles make a run just to see what would happen to Wentz.

If the Skins somehow pull this out I will be amazed and happy for them but at the same time it will warrant the Staff more time which is not good for the long term success of Washington.

I'd like to see the Eagles get just because it's good to have the defending champs at least get in the playoffs the next year. Nothing more I hate more than "fluke" talk.

Good eye, the Vikings website is where I got those scenarios (was the first result on google when I typed in week 16 playoff scenarios) and they had listed their own scenario in the first part of the article before listing every other scenario for the other teams like I posted them...

I feel like SEA is too banged up to clinch their spot against KC tonight. Back up safeties against Mahomes? No thank you.

Seattle is now in.

In the NFC, the only meaningful games are:

49ers vs Rams - Rams need a win to secure #2 seed and a bye. Would drop to #3 seed and play in WC weekend if they lose and the Bears win.

Bears vs Vikings - Bears need a win and Rams loss to secure #2 seed, otherwise, they are locked in at #3. Vikings need either a win or a Philly loss to qualify for the playoffs. Can go as high as #5 seed if Seattle loses to AZ.

Eagles at Redskins - Eagles need a win and a Minny loss to land the #6 seed. Can finish with the same 9-7 record as Seattle, but they lose out on a tiebreaker so can only get #6 seed.

Cardinals vs Seahawks - Seattle can either finish at #5 seed with a win or lose and drop to #6 if Minny wins.

Nothing else in the NFC matters for the playoff seeding or qualification.
