The way its looks right now the Canucks will be bringing in a few young guys every year till we establish a new core. Lets be honest it makes the season way more exciting and sells tickets!. Who do you guys see making the jump next year from utica or junior hockey? 1 or 2+ guys like this year?

Shinkaruk's been on fire.
Gaunce could be pretty solid player.
Subban? Pedan? Cassels? BOESER!?

and who do you see being gone by trade or unsigned for space?!

I would love to see Shinkaruk, Boeser and Subban.... Hell bring them all up!

Subban needs another year for sure. But could surprise like Hutton.

Shinkaruk and Gaunce pretty good bets to make the team next year.

Pedan I think he's pretty much gonna steal Sbisa's spot next season.

Boeser if he does preform well enough to get a contract he'll most likely start in the AHL and split half and half in the NHL and AHL.

I think Boeser is likely to play 2 years in University? Or am I mistaken?

I suppose Tryamkin and Pedan will get solid looks in camp.

If our forwards start deteriorating through injury as this year goes on, don't be shocked to see Gaunce make it this season.

Kenins will probably be back at some point as well.

Shink will def make it next year.
Gaunce will prob make it in the second half of this year.
Boeser will stay in college for another year.
Subban an will play another year in AHL.
Demko will prob play in the AHL.
Pedan will be depth D.
Bartkowski, Vrbata, Higgins, Prust and maybe Hamhuis all won't be here.

Heard some report saying that Tryamkin might not want to play in NHL.
As for Boeser, I think if the Canucks think he's ready they can convince him to turn pro with entry level $$.

Gaunce for sure and if Shinkaruk keeps playing like he has and keeps improving then hopefully him. Pedan also may be on the team cause of the waiver issue. Here's hoping he deserves it.

With all these guys probably being gone (for high draft picks I hope)
I could honestly see multiple guys make it next year! and the signing Lucic..
I have a feeling he's gonna pull a LeBron James and come back to his home town and fix his image!

I think Shinkaruk will make the team.
Gaunce/Pedan will get a good look and if they impress in training camp and preseason.

Gaunce should be on the team already, IMO (he's had three consecutive preseasons where was battling for best player and was very unlucky not to make it this year). Shinkaruk SHOULD make it next year. Subban needs another year.

I feel like Benning/management is going to push hard for Boeser as well.

Vancouver, BC.
As others have said, Shink, Gaunce and Pedan, although I could almost see Gaunce getting moved (sadly). Shink will likely get a sniff next year (if not as an injury call-up this year) and Pedan will steal Sbisa's spot next year as I think he might already be better than Sbisa is.

He'll still be hated by every teams except Vancouver.
Yap, Boston fans will start to hate him eventually.

If Shinkaruk can keep up this level of play, he makes the roster assuming he adds a bit of muscle. I see him having the same obstacle as McCann. Lots of skill, but need to be stronger and better defensively. He's like the winger version of McCann.

For bottom 6, I think Gaunce makes it finally.

On defence, Pedan looks like he'll take either Weber or Bartkowski's spot.

I dont know why our kids aren't being talked about more around the NHL. Sure, we dont have a 'elite' prospect with superstar potential but we have a solid 2 way forward group in the future.

Gaunce - 3rd line checking gritty type player
Boeser - 1st/2nd line sniper
Cassels - 3rd line shutdown heart and soul type player
Shinkaruk - looks like a decent top 9 forward
Jensen - is a wild card but is a good bottom 6 forward

our defence on the other hand needs work, but with Hutton, Tanev and Edler, we've got a solid core to build on. If we can get Zaitsev it would help too.

on goaltending we have team USA's starting goaltender in the WJ's :)

Im very optimistic about the future, i think we could break out real soon as one of the top young teams in the NHL.

If JB could get lucky and gets us a game breaker thats young enough to fit out youth movement that would be perfect.

Stamkos is a UFA...............just sayinnnn

I'll say Shinkaruk and Pedan - being realistic. Can't have a lineup full of younger players. If Shinkaruk doesn't make it next year, going to be a disappointment for me. Pedan could be a better Sbisa.

Gaunce...if he doesn't make it this year, then next year for sure.

Pedan will be the young Dman to make it. He has the skating, shot and skill plus good hockey IQ. Evident when he made a wicked fake slap pass to Shinkaruk for his.. 5th goal?

If Hamhuis is traded or not resigned, I can see the D corps being Edler, Tanev, Hutton, 1 of Bart or Weber, Pedan, Sbisa and Biega.

Gaunce will 100% be on the team and Shinkaruk is poised to make the team. His skating, board play and overall play is significantly better this season (based on Bad Goalie's, WTG's and others analysis).

Gaunce should be on the team. Same with Kenins although I guess he's not a rookie.

Shinkaruk is making a case for himself with his strong play this season. Pedan possibly.

Outside shot to Boeser

Getting rid of Prust, Bartkowski (will more likely be Weber but one can hope), and Baertschi to make room for these guys hopefully.

I would say no. Elite prospect is like top 25-30 prospect in the world.

I think there's an argument to be made that Demko is among the top propsects in the world. Goalies are always tricky but his college career so far has been outstanding.

Doubt Boeser comes in.

Hope he does though.

Would guess Shinkaruk (who I hope gets a game or two this season)

Shinkaruk
Gaunce
Boeser
Subban
2016 1st

This is the pool of likely prospects. Pick one and add a surprise guy not on that list.

I don't see both shink and gaunce replacing Baertschi and Higgins.maybe they do who knows.

I'll call Gaunce and trade deadline prospect acquisition.
