Not sure RoR will be the next captain going by what Murray said and what Roy said.

What was said? I must have missed it.
Roy said this summer RoR was too quiet to be considered captain material. And Murray said RoR isn't vocal enough in the locker room and it's something they're trying to get him comfortable with.

Just that he's not vocal enough yet/they want to see him talking more. I still think they're grooming him for a big leadership role, though, otherwise why would they even ask him to work on it? He's already a leader by example. Assuming he steps up in that regard, it's easy to envision him as the next C after Gionta.

It never was a question. He's going to be the next captain. He was acquired to be the next captain. He's being paid to be the next captain. He's viewed by his teammates as the next captain.

It's in the bank guys... it always has been.

Based on how Murray said he operates with the coach? No, not really. He has input, but he will leave it to the coach.

He esentially dictated that Gionta was going to be captain. If you think all he has is input, you are fooling yourself. And if your boss tells you his opinion on how something should be done, it's more than just input.
