I sure as hell bought one last night for the walk back to the car in that cold, lol. It was only $16, thought i'd have to pay like $30. There were many styles. Most, sadly, had the fuzzy ball attached to the top.

If there's a particularly nice one otherwise, I wonder if you could just clip off the ball without causing the whole hat to unravel?

Small rant:

Im a hat guy. Why do the Canes hat suck so bad? I have a reebok one that is white billed that is about 10 years old (at least looks like it). Cant we have a stretch fit or my fitted hat options? We have one hat that has the alternate logo one. Why only one? I looked on lids, the store, and a couple of other prominent merch places. Plenty of knitted hats (or toboggans i have grown up calling them). Much like actual sleds, how many times a year would NCers need a knitted cap? As Jimmy would say I mean, c’mon.

Yeah, there used to be a lot more options, but 47 doesn't seem to make Hurricanes Franchises anymore, and New Era's not licensed for NHL hats anymore, and that takes away both of the makers making fitted hats. Stretch? Well, Fanatics doesn't seem to believe in them as much as reebok did.

I was disappointed to see 47 only makes Whalers gear now. Their hats seem to fit my head shape better than most.

Caps and Rangers losing in regulation yesterday is very nice for us. It gives us a 4 game cushion to remain in the lead.

Wheeler is doing his prospect pool rankings. I think we'll be 9th or 10th. Wheeler typically aligns with our draft picks but with Jarvis an NHLer, we dont have much for high end prospects anymore. We'll be close to the bottom of top 10 because of depth and Morrow. Kochetkov and Makiniemi having strong seasons should help.

Seriously, it’s time to think about truncating the season. Someone’s going to get decimated by COVID and injuries if they try to make up all of these games in the allotted timeframe. Or, the season is going to end up being 10 months long and we’ll see fatigue injuries next season.

The conferences are way unbalanced anyway… just void Inter-conference results, cancel the rest of those games, and play the rest of the conference schedules.
