I dunno, that can't be all bad if they can appreciate ironical humor.
You do not have to believe me, but a while back I imagined what Scott Darling would answer to them kids asking, and the result was: It's like rain on your wedding day...

A free ride, when you're already paid.

(Alanis had a gig at my whereabouts a week back, so there's that)

Considering Darling's .888 from last year and Mrazek's .891 with the Flyers, the question isn't can they but how much worse can they, because the answer to can they is an obvious yes

Or they bounce back, Mrazek was a .929 as a starter in Detroit, Darling could get .915? If they can get .915 / .920 each? We are looking good.

Anything is possible, but expecting something like that would be irrational at this point. It’s like saying Jiri Tlusty *could* give us 40 goals if we signed him again. Unless there’s something about these guys that we haven’t been told yet, their more recent performances are a better predictor of what they will do in the future.

Given Darling’s renewed approach and Mrazek’s fresh start, maybe we can give them an optimistic .010 bonus over their most recent performances. But that still leaves both of them among the worst starting goalies in the league.
