Yeah, my comments on jerseys should probably be taken with a grain of salt. I wouldn't know a good marketable one from the next. I'm practically devoid of any fashion sense. Or the wife who tries to buy me clothes tells me..

As someone relatively old for the msg board demo and who wears and owns roughly a dozen hawaiian shirts when he's allowed by the missus, I can relate that noone should be taking my word on fashion either haha

Good article. Funny enough, the first thing I actually thought when I saw the jersey was that Katz must have checked out the Seahawks/Sounders colors while in Seattle

You mis-read what I wrote. It's NOT just the young fans wearing the new merchandise at all. Veteran fans seem to be just as happy with their new jerseys and hats and shirts.

Next year there will be a white version and the year after they will be the home and away and the current jersey will be the 3rds. Or so I'm led to believe.

A white version? Sweet. The new black/greens were sold out for at least the first two months, plenty of adult fans snapping up the jerseys. The old jerseys are nice, but they've aged somewhat, and the team needs a fresh image to market. I'm just glad they nailed the jersey design, especially the little hidden details. And that green color is hugely popular everywhere now, like it's the late 80s or something.

I'd be scared it would glow in the dark or be radioactive or something. Those combinations of colors just seem unusual to me. That said i'm not well aware that goes with lime neon green..

We had a QB that sounded like that, Nealon Green. Seeing him in Neon instead of Green may have been neat. Neon green and Green probably even better.
