bring back the hey song
Looks like the Devils chart for the song voting isn't realtime.. Still the same numbers from 4 hours ago
This would require actual work instead of a five-second thrown together photoshop document.
seven nation army at least builds some kind of atmosphere in the building when it plays
This is why I'm PRAYING that SNA is *indeed* selected as the winner and the Devils goal-song going forward.
It's not RRP2 but it still allows some semblance of FUN to permeate the Rock's atmosphere unlike the other two abortions we listened to.
Last game's song was a ton better than SNA. SNA is too ****ing slow.
They'll find a way to speed it up if it wins, just to try to prevent the you suck.
I can't wait to see how they throw everyone a 12 to 6 curveball and rig the vote. I'll be surprised if SNA is playing on Saturday.
To each his own because I still think SNA is better and it was apparent due to the crowd response to it.
Penguins fans cheering loud to RR2.
RR2 again in Pittsburgh. What a fun goal song that gets fans involved.
regardless of what wins, fans gotta stop booing after the goal song..bad look for our fanbase.. booing after we score..?
Have to agree on this point. I find the whole exercise really annoying, think it was silly to do in the first place, get the arguments that have flown back and forth since this was announced, etc. etc. etc. ...but once the game starts, it's time to leave the crap at the door and cheer the team.
Right on, agree.
I won't boo anymore regardless, this ends on Saturday one way or another. If it's SNA, I'll cheer when the song plays. If it's the other two, I'll just sit down like I did on Tuesday night.
To me it will be a major victory if SNA wins. It's truly the best alternative if management is going to be this prissy about the whole thing. At least you can have fun with the song. The Whip MAYBE so if it was played at a regular sound level. Righteous Smoke was just an abortion that I hope we never hear again. Good to see Bon Jovi is not an option.
However looks like the fan support that Gaslight Anthem, FOB and MCR were supposed to have completely faded. I was sorta shocked (but I'm not at the same time considering this whole thing is pretty much rigged anyway) that none of those were picked.
I posted this in another thread but think its appropriate here:
I hope SNA wins and our celebrations are wild. Also I wanna see random SNA chants with jumping like in this video occur.
Just imagine this being Devils fans at the rock.
Also would wanna see this as a goal song once in a while (fast forward to :45)
College sports are way more fun and rowdy and fan energetic than pros. Too many lame-o's at pro games.
European pro sports are even better than college, but the same idea. If we could get a college sports/euro type of atmosphere it would be not only unique to the NHL but NA sports in general. Not to mention it would be completely awesome.
Glad to see we're not raging against the dying of the light anymore.
sadly, the fanbase isn't consistent enough - we need more STH
Given the information the Devils rep gave me, I'm pretty shocked SNA is even up for voting.
But since the last vote was rigged anyway, it wouldn't shock me if SNA still ended up losing as one of the other songs "made a last minute comeback and we gave you the song you wanted!".
So management doesn't like "you suck", but ends up putting a popular "you suck"-able goal song as a finalist in the poll?
That's why I was surprised to find they are publishing a running tally of the voting results.
This song is going to win by a landslide.... then how is the team going to get out of it and explain that to us? I like SNA... it was the best of the three. The song on Tuesday was a pop-folk song... Good song... but not hockey worthy.
The song from Tuesday might be used by half the league. Toronto used it, Dallas, Columbus, Detroit. Completely unoriginal and lame.
