I agree, especially with a new coach coming in. There's no way that a coach can get a good idea of the locker room dynamic in the preseason alone.

Voted for Justin Schultz for the lulz. In all honesty I don't mind Ference wearing the C.

Just keep Ference as captain for this season so we can give it to McDavid next season. If someone like Hall gets it, it will be harder to change.

If they are going to take it away from Ference for whatever reason, then they should give it to Hall, I'd like to see him take the leadership role so McDavid can grow properly. I dislike the 1 year in the league so you are the leader thing that teams do, it puts a lot of pressure on young guys.
