Fantastic hire! Gruden is the real deal. Was very important in helping Robert Thomas mature and develop before making the leap to the NHL, and is good with young players in general. Players will run through a wall for this guy. Great defensive mind. Good with special teams. Demands toughness. I'm feeling really good about this coaching staff.

We all said that about Dave Lewis, who tutled under Scott Bowman in Detroit.

In the event, working with Trotz can't be a bad thing, and I hope he works out.

I think Kelly would get forward defense/PK duty and Gruden will focus on the D corp

The Sacco interviewing with the Sharks thing was reported by Jimmy Murphy. Given that he reported it I would say there is roughly a 0-0.1% chance of that happening.
