The first signing period is tomorrow. Seems like a lot of the drama going around is unsurprisingly down south & out west.

Pending any unforeseen surprises going either way Penn State’s likely done for now with some guys still undecided on the NFL draft (Hamler, Toney, & Castro-Fields).

Only like 40 of the top 250 kids are uncommitted at this point lol. The early signing period is becoming the only one that's relevant. I like the idea some people are proposing. Early signing day will be some time in August and the second day will be in February.

We'll see some flips tomorrow, but most of the kids are locked in. More and more early enrollees these days as well.

I hear what you’re saying I would think as a kid though it would be tough to put pen to paper that early. I think just having the flexibility if something were to happen with the coach to have that out if needed in December where that’s more clear by then.

Penn St. questions regarding their recruiting since I'm not a recruiting guru. How does Penn State's class stack up compared to the rest of the Big 10, minus Ohio St.? I imagine Franklin has reeled in a number of 4*, but are there any 5* Franklin is in on? Who are the players that can contribute immediately?

It’s his largest ever (27 so far) and has no 5s yet that I know of, but is still a very good class stacking up well in the BIG 10. Some people got a little hysterical when they lost 5 star WR Fleming to OSU, but it is what it is and they seem to suck with that type of WR anyway.

Kinda of disappointing class given the last two but they lost some juice on the trail coming off the 9-4 season last year. But it still should end up top 15. They should bounce back in 2021.

They don’t have a 5* as of now but I wouldn’t be surprised if 4* LB Curtis Jacobs gets a bump at the UA all-star game events. He’s right on the cusp of it right now.

As for kids who could play. Your top two recruits Curtis Jacobs & Theo Johnson play positions they’re relatively deep at in LB & TE but both should still see the field in depth roles in year 1. The 4* WR’s Keadre Lambert & Parker Washington should see the field as WR isn’t a deep position next year as far as solidified numbers go. S’ Enzo Jennings & JUCO Ji’Ayir Brown should factor in at the S positions as that’s kind of similar to WR.

Looks like 4* DE Fadil Diggs from NJ could be providing the drama. He hasn’t signed with Texas A&M yet over concerns his position coach could be leaving. Penn State, Florida, & Maryland vying for the flip potentially if he does.

He'll be in the transfer portal after his freshman season. What an idiot
As LOD said, it's not rare for Maryland to get elite skill position kids to stay home. The problem is everything else.

He probably won't transfer, but he will definitely hurt his exposure come draft time should he progress to that level. There were also some rumblings that this kid is a bit of a headcase.
