I'd rather watch in the evening. Funny how Bettman thinks he'll get a big U S tv deal. When the network doesn't believe playoff games are primetime worthy.

When is the NHL going to get a big Canadian cable deal? Versus pays about twice what TSN does.

A few years ago their was maybe the odd afternoon playoff game and now every weekend there is one. My question is what is with the NBC and the NHL obsession with playing afternoon games?

There have been afternoon playoff games for a long time. Like that one afternoon playoff game that was played between Boston and St. Louis in 1970, or that one between the Islanders and Philly in 1980. I can't remember how they turned out though.

Also Fox and ABC had afternoon playoff games throughout the 1990s and 2000s.

Twice as much for 10 times the population, 4 times as many teams, and a package far superior to TSN's package.
