I keep forgetting to watch and haven't set my DVR. Also, almost any episode is a good starting point.

There's sort of a continuing story of Nathan's loneliness but it's not really important to watching the show.

As far as the show's "peak" well... each season has some classics IMO, and this season just had 3 in a row.

I didn't think the smoke detector episode was anything special

Even the "client" seemed particularly unimpressed with the whole scam

The greatest episode of the show, maybe even one of the best episodes of all TV, I've ever seen.

That was a ride. What a finale.

Also might be the last episode in its history but I sure hope it isn't. :(

Can somebody briefly tell me how much of this show is scripted/real? Originally, I assumed all of it was scripted, but then I heard otherwise...... but then this Bill Gates impersonator.... he's real/not an actor too? I'm confused.

The whole show is completely unscripted. Bill Gates impersonator is an actor in real life but not an actor reading a script in Nathan for You. He was genuinely trying to reconnect with his past lover. That's what makes this show amazing. Weird people sign up to be on the show and businesses don't know what to expect.

Yeah. They probably do script stuff here and there for comedy's sake, but I think the show stays pretty real.

That finale was just insane. I wish Bill just would tell people who the f*** he is when he called them, lol. Frances didn't recognize his voice and barely seemed to invest herself in that phone conversation at all. You could almost see Bill finally understand that this wasn't the greatest idea.

People are saying this might have been the series finale. I hope not, unless Nathan is creating something else. I wish I worked for a company that let me blow their money on an escort

I did find the finale fantastic, however, I also did find it to be a bit an anticlimax that Bill didn't go through with the meeting. It was ultimately for the best I feel but after the hype and intrigue at how that would play out it did disappoint me a little. Still an amazing piece of television

I wonder how much legal stuff gets thrown Comedy Central's way because of Nathan. The scheme to get into the school seems like that's a pretty dodgy situation. Was very interesting though how easily he managed to get in from the stonewall nobody but parents can come onto the property to yeah you're welcome in let us give you a tour. Really highlighted how easy something like that could be done which is both a good and bad thing. Ultimately, that school let these people in with zero idea who they really were which is not great.

I didn't care for many of the scenes with Maci

It felt like Nathan was trying too hard to be awkward and make the situation uncomfortable

The dancing/make out scene is the one that was really hard to stomach

The makeout scene made me cringe as hard as I ever have in my life, good lord. It just would not end.

So is it safe to say she was entirely in on it?

I mean... given the current Hollywood climate, it doesn't look good to use your position of power to create an entire fake story to an escort and then make out with her.

I'm guessing she was in on it and playing along.

One of the best parts of those interactions was trying to think if anyone was at all genuine. It is her job to pretend that she is, to seem sincere, make Nathan feel wanted etc and at the same time it's what Nathan does, be all awkward to make for funny TV.

I don't think she was in on it specifically, she was doing her job. He wasn't exactly abusing his status, he was paying for a service and that's what he was getting.

The final wasn't very good and was very underwhelming. It felt more like an episode of a documentary/history show than a comedy.

Yeah I thought the finale was just okay. The makeout scene was the worst thing sit through haha. It had its funny parts but wasn't a top 5 episode or anything. Probably not top 10 to me tbh.

Yeah, anything else would have been shocking at this point.

Fortunately, Nathan 100% made that show great. Tons of potential and I’m sure the next project he does is going to be awesome.

He did some work on that new SBC show. Those two combined on a big project like a film could be incredible.

He seems to have very high standard for himself. Whatever he does I'm sure will be great, hopefully we don't have to wait too long.
