Here
I know that AO should be something special. SHOULD...

On the other hand, Nash is NOW somwthing special. Maybe not as good as AO SHOULD be, but...

I would like to says Ovechkin cause I like him very much.

But Nash won the Maurice Richard Trophy at 20 years old...!!!

Ovechkin may be better that Nash as soon as next year. May be...

...but I would'nt be ready to take the chance.

Questions like these are always hard to answer. Many will choose Nash over AO right now, and rightly so, because Nash is a proven NHL commodity who has already won a Richard Trophy. AO is still just all hype and great potential and will continue to be until he first skates in an NHL game. Theres no way to tell who will better adapt to the NHL skill level.

 Wow finally a level headed caps fan who isn't set up for a mid-life crisis if AO isn't the next Mario or Wayne! :handclap:

Right now, I'd prefer to stick with Nash. He's awesome and does more than score goals. I like his willingness to mix it up. I think he is a smart individual and his learning curve is very satisfactory. His development has been through the roof the last few years.

This is more important to me than potential, especially considering the fact I think AO gets a lot of credit as an early bloomer.

While Nash has two years of NHL experience over Ovechkin, he is only a year younger too.

I go with Rick Nash on this one without even really having to think about it much.

Frankly I would take the 19 year old winner of the Richard trophy over any #1 overall pick at this point whether it be Fleury, Ovechking, Crosby, whatever. Potential is great, and I'm not saying that these players aren't going to be game breakers or maybe even the new wave of hockey players...but you have to wonder....how much potential beyond the Richard trophy can there be? The Art Ross is about it.

Rick Nash does more than just score goals...he mixes it up, he punishes opposing defenders, and I think he's developing into quite the leader.

There isn't much a ceiling beyond what Nash has already done, so I would take him over the others.

Man, I just realized I called Ovechkin "Ovechking". Maybe it'll be some sort of new nickname. ;)

While I hope Ovechkin is as good in the long run... I can't argue with production.

Nash now, hopefully (as a Caps fan) Ovechkin in the future.

You do not have to worry Ovechkin will be as advertised the next wayne or mario and you can take that to the bank. To bad your team does not have him . :D

Ovechkin here, he dominated at the World Championships and will be close to a ppg at the world cup. He is a very special player who's allround game is allready miles ahead of one dimentional Nash.

Care to tell me next week's lottery numbers while you're at it, Nostradamus?

Mariusz Czerkawski is one-dimensional. Rick Nash is not one dimensional.

Give it up, please. Not even Gretzky could make the capitals good so have fun having another Jagr.
