It is true that Liljegren is the most productive of what is only an eight person class of draft plus one, 18 year old AHL defenders. If you want, you can certainly choose to downgrade him on that basis. But you might observe, on the other hand, that this small number means that what he has done, contribute regularly in the AHL at his age and position, is by the same measure, a rare achievement. And then when you consider that Liljegren did this on the top regular season team, with the best defensive record in the league, it could be called downright impressive.

I think the OP did a fine job overall and, to be truthful, I don’t know where Liljegren should rate on the list. But as a long term Leafs fan, I’m happy with his progress.

One more note: Travis Dermott and AndreasJohnsson have obviously graduated from a list of prospects such as this one but I am happy about them too.
