Wennberg is a 40pt player who is bad defensively.
I believe he meant to say Bjorkstrand, who was just traded for a song.

It is extremely difficult to move salary right now. And Toronto is in no position to just jettison players who other teams would have no reason to pursue.

Your evaluation of Holl is very Leaf-centric. He wouldn't get the same consideration on other teams because on his own, he just isn't that impactful of a player. The same would go for someone like Alex Kerfoot.

Ah yes, leafs are a terrible team and their players are overrated and overplayed on the Leafs and would have much lesser roles on other teams, like Ceci and Brown and Johnsson and Moore and Barrie and Barabanov and Boyd and Hyman and Kadri and Dermott and Kapanen and Marchment and

You might as well add a 1st round pick leaving the Leafs in this package, cause that’s what it’s going to cost come the deadline. All to acquire another Muzzin.

I don't think I ever said the Leafs were a terrible team. But every team in the league has their own specific challenges when it comes to player deployment due to positional depth and salary limitations.

You seem to believe that the Leafs are some kind of farm system for the rest of the league, but it's not a surprise that some of these players never clicked in Toronto's system. While others did but later ran into their own issues in terms of consistency.

Ask yourself why a team like Columbus couldn't get value for a player like Bjorkstrand coming off of a career year, but the Leafs would for a lesser player to help them out of a cap crunch.

Yes it's shocking that so many players that HF thought sucked balls while they were leafs went on to become loved by their next teams. Totally unexpected. Totally not something that HFboards should ponder and learn from and consider the next time they claim a Leaf sucks balls and has no value.

But what does Bjorkstrand and his huge contract have to do with anything in this thread?

...Persecution Complex much??...happens with every team's fanbase here...when they're (blank), that fanbase raves about them while everyone else trashes them...they move on and are loved by (blank) fanbase while every other fanbase trashes them...and so on...and so on...you do it yourself, as does everyone else here...stop with the Leafs Victimization Complex, it's already gotten old 20 years ago...

...anyways, trade's not good...Muzzin can't stay healthy and Holl is #6/#7 guy you can get for $1 mill or less...

I never said any of them sucked balls. You seem to have a victim's mentality when discussing your Leafs.

Bjorkstrand was alluded to along with Pacioretty because they're prime examples of how difficult it is to move salary in the current market. Both are 30 goal men and were available for peanuts on the open market.

It's not people suggesting that Holl possesses negative value or that he isn't good enough to be impactful on another roster. He's a limited player whose responsibilities have been elevated by Toronto due to a combination of a lack of depth and a lack of cap flexibility.

It's doubtful you'd find a team willing to give the Leafs any kind of reasonable value for him when taking into account the Leafs cap situation and the current market.

Yes you listed guys with massive long contracts to try and say something about someone on a cheap 1 year deal for some reason.

I dont agree with you but its just nice to see somebody properly categorize a complex on HF boards. So many people would be screaming "victim complex" when they mean Persecution complex, so kudos.
