I love that 4th. Idk too much about Thompson but Weise was an elite 4th liner for the habs. He better stay on the 4th though.

But what happens when Byron is back? That's the one million question!

Even your expert friend McCagg is in the dark. How would we know?

It would make sense. Even though Lehkonen is popular with the staff and the dressing room, he's the obvious odd man out. Some combo of Lehkonen, a prospect, and a pick, for an LD could happen for sure.

Tatar-Domi-Shaw
Byron-Kotkaniemi-Armia
Deslaurier-Thompson-Wiese

And as you probably suspected, Weise's nickname on the Habs is the typical fare, with a Y added at the end:

“There’s only a few guys I guess that played with Weisey — probably about four of us,” Gallagher said.

DLO, Thompson and Weise are fringe NHLers. Guys who are in and out lineups on a regular basis. Moving Lehkonen instead of sitting any of them would make no sense whatsoever. You simply bump one of Lehkonen, Armia, Shaw, Byron to the fourth.

I never said I'd just plain cut Lehkonen... just that trading him might make sense if it can help land us a top 4 LD.

Sure, that also goes for everyone in our lineup. But if you think it's obvious Lehkonen's the odd man out of a top-9 that's limited in offensive talent, that should tell you enough about his odds of returning a top-4 LD, one that's not overpaid and on the wrong side of 30 that is.

I think Clode would like to keep that all Finnish line together for Kotka's pleasure.

I said he'd be part of a package including a pick and a prospect.

First on-ice images of Weise as a returning Hab, this morning. Shakes hands with Richardson and goes about his business.

I hate these long breaks between games. No news on Muller getting canned? Fix that PP pronto.

power play was fixed just like that when they moved KK to the right half wall.

The problem is they didn't continue using that on the 4 on 3, and we saw the result.

I'm not really excited about this 4th line:

D-lo-Thompson-Weise

We need a 4th line that poses some kind of offensive threat and ideally is fast. This line is neither. Not sure what MB is thinking, but hopefully he proves me wrong.

First 31 games back after injury Webers Habs are 21-10.

Shea has 9 goals in that time. (24 goal pace)

Price is 16-8 with Weber back. GAA under two and a save percentage of .950

Now thats a captain.
