F*ck cancer - RIP Fugu and Buffaloed
Bergevin’s off-season is just strange this year
And what if he impressed in his first few games? You think he'd be willing to take a significant pay cut then?Bit early to sign a goalie that was poor on his previous team without ever seeing him on his new team
Yikes... 15.75m for goalies
Elite defensive forward. No worries. It’s cool. He’s actually going to transition to forward next season after they’re unable to resign Gallagher.
This is a good move...That is a bargain contract for Allen. He is now VERY tradeable anytime over next 3 years and attractive to Seattle or any team that needs a backup solution. Allen could have gotten more maybe if things recover (look at Crawford) but seems to value the security, takes the term, 6$ million USD in the bank to play hockey, no drama of looking for a contract next year.
I thought it was 5.75 per year. My bad. I will flog myself for the mistakeMath clearly isn't your strong suit or you are in the wrong thread.
Don't feel bad, I almost spat out my coffee when I read that incorrectly as well lol.I thought it was 5.75 per year. My bad. I will flog myself for the mistake

I didn't see this one coming either. 2 Things I think here. Either MB doesn't think Primeau will be ready by then or it is a Seattle exposure. I don't know why he extended him now. I am starting to think that Gallagher could be moved sooner rather than later.
I'm sure he will be swimming in offers of guaranteed income after playing backup to carey priceInteresting Allen was like "Cut my pay in half for two years? Sign me up, boss!"
Poor? He was one of the best back ups in the league last year.Bit early to sign a goalie that was poor on his previous team without ever seeing him on his new team
if you don't sign jake allen, who plays backup next season? MAF?
Expansion draft. also montreal has had a wave of backup goalies coming in and out. This gives some security on the backup position so Price can be rested; however he may be picked up by Seattle given he has a nice contract, but that way we don't lose anyone else. He's expendable,Why now? What's the rush? I don't understand these extensions to these replaceable players, and it's not like it's dirt cheap.
