Cherry had nine lives and should've been gone years ago.

He had his own perspective on the game. Sometimes he'd point to something I hadn't thought of and he was entertaining. But the crap that came along with it was so unnecessary. He was arrogant because the viewers loved him and the ad dollars were there. But the CBC should've done away with him years ago with some of the things he's said.

The problem is this, they should have groomed replacements for Cherry, come up with better ideas for shows and they didn't. So now that he is gone, they have basically nothing but air. I have no reason to not stay on TVA(although nowadays I don't watch much of the Habs so that too I stopped watching). The thing with Cherry is that as out of touch he was with certain things is that he put the eyes on the game, he often brought something new and interesting angles sometime. It was showbusiness for sure like a carnaval barker "come see the game, look what happened this week, come watch what I agree and disagree with the game this week". Sometime it wasn't that complex but he made the game exciting cause of his presentation as a ring leader. It's really a simple concept but it works. And also what he said brought discussions and debates which we don't see anyway really. What he did could easily be replaced and bring excitement if HNIC would do some debate segment, maybe.

It's been a while since I last posted my hockey meal. Tonight I unveil my beef dip sandwich. Roasted sirloin tip with a coating of garlic, fresh rosemary and olive oil paste. Jus is homemade also with rosemary, and has added thai chile and the remainder of the basting paste, as well as a nice dark stout.

It's a bit monchromatic, but is by far the best version I've ever eaten.

This might not be a popular opinion but I liked 'Behind the Mask' with Kelly Hrudey. I don't know why they didn't just do that.
