DP has the potential to be really good and I think he will be a mainstay here, but his D the past 10 games has been some of the worse showing by a D man we had in years. Engelland was more solid on the D end.

Malkin is such a beast. It's amusing watching how terrified the Avs are of him, and how little his linemates are doing anything to help him.

That's what people don't get. Comeau is okay as a third wheel, but it really takes Malkin being superhuman every single shift for him to have a fighting chance. Every shift he takes with Kunitz on the other wing is a gift to the other team. It really is.

freaken two on one and DP tried to break up the rush. Yes he looked bad, but maybe a cross ice pass at the blue line was not something he anticipated from the center who truns the puck over with some really stupid decisions.

Sutter is a bad hockey player...just bad. Can't do fundamental **** right.
Yeah...he backchecks well, he's good on the PK, and he's got a lethal corner wrister when he's streaking in off the right hand boards. That's pretty much the entire list of things he does well, and everything else is a disaster.

He's played horrible D for awhile, many times the team was lucky they did not score. I love aggressive players by this dude is insanely aggressive. Needs to find a better balance.

Martin just got made to look worse by a much lesser player than what happened with Pouliot. Yikes.

Malkin didn't turn it over. He was passing to a trailer and Kunitz skated into the puck deflecting it. He can't account for Kunitz being an idiot.

EDIT: Maybe he should be able to do it.

Why do we have so much trouble making crisp passes in the neutral zone?

If we re-sign Martin, I'll be so disappointed. Ehrhoff as well. Neither guy brings enough of any element to be worth the money they're likely to ask for.

Should have been a goal.. Letang fails to clear the crease.

Don't blame Malkin for that turnover. The Penguins have to do a better job. That's identical to a play a few weeks ago - Malkin pulls up on the right side and tries to slide it across to a right shot on the left where there are two players. One guy is supposed to drive the slot hard and open up the area for the other guy (the guy Malkin is passing the puck to) Both times it was mangled by the guy who was supposed to drive hard.

The last time, Bennett hung back for a pass while Letang was open behind him and this time it was Kunitz getting in the way.

Better spacing and that is a good scoring opportunity.
