Most Underrated/Overrated Defensemen

Just for clarification - Sabres are overall a 45% xGF team. The top pairing of Scandella-Ristolainen is at 53% xGF. Either we're witnessing an incredible phenomenon of two #4 defensemen forming a competent top pairing, or maybe Ristolainen was always good.

Guys like Doughty and Keith are actually underrated when comparing to Subban. Karlsson isn't in my opinion either under- or overrated, because he is one of the players you actually can call an franchise player. Sens without Karlsson are a different team.

If that is your criteria then Doughty definitely qualifies. Kings would struggle to compete in the AHL without him.

And both suffer away from each other. Hardly a relationship of one partner carrying the other. They're a good fit together I guess.
