I think Therrien got through to Subban; don't pull fancy stuff when the game is tight. Don't pull low percentage plays. But do try them when it's smart to try them.

I think your right I've noticed couple time he looked like he was getting ready to go for it then thought about it and passed off. I like it for sure but wouldn't mind seeing a good rush once in a while

I don't think those ever resulted in many goals. Right now, he is playing a lot smarter, and he is still bringing dynamic offense. He can carry the puck into the zone with speed. He keeps himself moving on the back end during the PP. So he is still using his talent, just with more wisdom. He has matured and is taking more calculated risks.

He does it once in a while. Keeps the opponent guessing. But I like that he matured in his decision making. Subban can be one of the NHL's Great if he tempers his inner fire with strong decision making.
