I'm sure he will be. My guess is;

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Gallagher
Ryder - Plekanec - Gionta
Galchenyuk - Eller - Moen
White - Dumont - Armstrong

I.d rather have Moen with Plekanec. That gives a solid "match-up" line.
Ryder can be a PP specialist, and play protected minutes with Chuckie. And
he is a pure shooter. That should help keep Chuckie entertained.

Also, I think it might get Moen to step up his game a little. We don't need
him to fight. We need him to play hockey more like the last two years.

Not suppose to be. 'Cause then this supposed "rule" that both goalies starts back to back wouldn't apply wouldn't it? I mean, if Budaj was good enough for Boston...he has to be good enough for Florida.

He was good enough for Boston. I'm still enjoying that. :handclap:

3 wins (OTT, NYR, BOS)
1 loss (OTT)
1 shootout loss (BUF)

Also, from glancing at our record, I noticed we've scored 3 or more goals in our last 6 games (5, 6, 4, 3, 4, 4). Nothing important to that, just a cool stat.
Since Ryder showed up..

All this talk of the Rangers not doing as good as last year because they lost Prust is really disingenuous. He was a key part of their team, but the Rangers also sacrificed Anisimov and Dubinsky for Rick Nash (who has injured for a bit).

The Rangers greatest asset last year was its shutdown ability, they were such a great defensive team. Prust, Anisimov and Dubinsky were a huge part of that shutdown capabilty, all three are excellent two-way players. The Rangers did not replace this in the off-season and it's the biggest reason why they regressed from last year. Guys like Anisimov, Dubinsky, Prust allowed offensive players like Richards, Callahan Gaborik, Hagelin and Stepan to do their thing as the former three carried the lion's share of the defensive load along with Boyle. Funnily enough they replaced Prust, Anisimov and Dubinsky with Taylor Pyatt, Aaron Asham and Jeff Halpern who are all lesser two-way players. That is the biggest difference with the rangers. The Rangers recognized the loss of key-two way players, hence why they tried to replace them with lesser quality two-ways guys..

Never underestimate the contributions of two-way players. It's actually part of the reason why we are successful this year. Two-way players help with possession and Eller, Prust, Moen, Gionta and Plekanec are all key players in that part of our game this year.

Yes. All true. Let's add Bourque to this list. Even playing only half
the games, he's made our puck recovery look better. We could be a deep
solid team with him back.

Are you guys sure Price is starting? He wasn't very good last night (luckily for you guys, TB's goaltending and defense is horrendous) and it's back-to-back games with a flight in between.

Either way, good luck. I see you guys winning 3-1.

Still undecided. We might see Budaj.

He was fine last night.

However I feel like Budaj gets the start. It would be consistent with Therrien's decisions on back to back games.

Three goals in under 15 minutes in the 2nd. :help:

Yeah, Budaj makes a lot more sense. It's a good night to sit Price anyways seeing as how we can't score goals and we'll probably make whoever starts look like a Vezina candidate. In fact, we do that more often against backups. So it is definitely a good night to start him.

I like the airplane captain's way of thinking.

I like him too! I just hate them so much... :)

Nice GDT! I wanted to know, as a big Pink Floyd fan, if 'The Dark Side Of The NHL' was a tribute for the 40th anniversary of The Dark Side Of The Moon?

Is it really been 40 years? Wow, still sounds as good today. I could lie and say it was, but it was just because we'll never see that part of the league this season (except during the POs obviously).

I saw the 2nd and the beginning of the 3rd. I know Price is a stud so you don't have to convince me of that. Probably just an off night.

He had no chance on 2 of the goals. The other one would have been a save of the week candidate against the best sniper in the game.

HAHAHAHA, awesome work, RM! I hope that was Gio inviting a collective dump onto Bawston, not the flight captain. He's been good lately. Gio, not the flight captain. (Actually, they've thankfully both been good!)

This game scares me only because the panthers have taken such beatings lately and ya just know Hubey dubey doo is bound to light us up. I would play Budaj for this. He's shown that we can rely on him. We just have to shutdown 2-3 players, you know, like Tavares and Moulson, Stamkos and St-Louis, which we always do.:sarcasm:

1-Stamkos in the slot
2-screened by 4 guys
3-deflected twice

I don't know how many goalies can make those saves. He has the ability to rob Stamkos, and he wasn't great that game, but I can't say he was bad.

:help:

1st goal, Stamkos, in the slot. It wasn't even top shelf, it was the top shelf of the top shelf and there was no WAY any angle could cut that off. #geometry

2nd goal, broken play that results in the puck sliding off to a trailing Salo who puts it through a huge screen on another great shot. Price was already frozen due to the D **** up.

3rd goal, on the PK, St. Louis plays ping pong - goes off at least 2 bolts. Seriously?

He shut the door when it counted, and isn't that what all the bleating has been about?

We came back, we won, with his help, not despite him. Also, he was calm after the goals for all the psychologists on here.

But Budaj should start tonight. It's FLA and it's his turn.

It would be great if Markstrom let in the very first shot in again. I`ve got nothing against him, but it would be some kind of record for sure. He was great last season against the Habs, I think.

There is absolutely NOTHING he could do on the goals scored against, it was either perfect plays or deflections..
