Keep in mind, at the time, Higgins was routinely a 20+ goal guy, S. Kostitsyn was showing the makings of a defensively sound 50 pt player and Lats was usually scoring 16 goals a season.

I just watched it.

It is sad because I enjoyed being a fan of that squad. Seeing Koivu drive the net and AK46 flashes of his talent were great.

Add Kovalev who was quiet in that clip and that team really was entertaining to watch.

Now we have Desharnais and Weise in the top 6....

2-He plays over 25 min. and is totally gassed in the 3rd?

And what happens with the lines?

1-Back to sanity with Galchenyuk at center and DD on the 3rd line?

2-Golden boy DD still gets all the rope and Galchenyuk should feel blessed for playing on his wing?

Habs' middle six has 3 freakin' 4th liners on it. I want to blame the GM for that, but every time he's added a potential top 6 with this coach, that player has gotten demoted/scratched/traded/let go. So I guees I'll blame both.

Negativity aside, a win puts them up to 6th and trending upwards again!!!!
