Why are people acting like this is some insane deal for Tampa Bay? They only got point for 3 years, this deal is a pretty standard bridge contract. If he signed for 6 years, that response would be more warranted. It's good for Tampa because he's a RFA at the end, but this isn't a steal of a contract for them. Depending on the structure of the deal, it may not even be that good for them.
