Transactions:
Signed Middleton, Mistele and Marchment to ELCs (660K)

Team goals: Still looking to contend so I think they'd be looking to trade picks and prospects or maybe swap NHLers. Kempe won't be cheap though.

since this is a top 10 pick, i don't mind waiting a little more. would like people to make those by themselves.

but not forever obviously. let's say till 11 AM. 20 more mins.

Not that it matters at this point, but why is the auto-pick list the one that does not have the top 3 picks of this draft. Shouldn't we use one that has all skaters?

Too late to change it now, and not that important anyway, just something to keep in mind for next year.

Anchorage selects Defensman Mikhail Sergachev with the 10th selection in the NHL entry Draft.

"We're very excited to add the future anchor to our Blue Line in the great North. In Mikhail we envision a player who can play exceptionally well in all 3 zones. He's someone who we believe can be relied upon to handle to difficult minutes and excel when given bigger opportunities for us."

Coming Back Home

jacob-larsson.jpg

Just days after being traded out of Anaheim to the Washington Capitals, top prospect and former first rounder Jacob Larsson is headed back home. The swedish defender was sent back as a piece in a deal that involved goaltender Fredrick Andersen headed to DC.

"With the departure of Larsson, it left our blueline organizational depth too thin and believe that Larsson's return would be huge towards helping that. We made a decision that the best move for both parties would be to ship out Andersen for futures so he can have a better chance elsewhere and to save some cap space for our competitive roster."

Along with Andersen, the Ducks also sent Washington the 134th overall selection in the 2016 draft. In return on top of Larsson, Washington sends Anaheim pick #92, pick #97 and goalie prospect Phillip Grubauer, who is just 24 and has had great success at all times in his professional career.

Breakdown: Jacob Larsson, Phillip Grubauer, Pick 92, Pick 97 for Fredrick Andersen, Pick 134

i'm not sure if there's a draft list that has all skaters. but that was something that has been around since we first did this 2 years ago. NA CS has lot of lower tier prospects as auto-mocking plays bigger role in later rounds. not so much in the first couple.

in that hypothetical scenario where top 3 pick would've been auto-picked.. maybe they should've been here or sent someone their draft lists.. just saying.

but we can change that for next year.

The capitals confirm the trade for Andersen. We are still attempting to become the KHL of the NHL and are still looking for russians to play for our glorious team.

With that being said Holtby could be had for the right price to allow us to pursue any and all players from the motherland.

At the very worst, having a goaltending tandem of Holtby and Andersen assures us a safety net (pun intended) in case of injury during a long season.

We apologize for causing Larsson to break two leases in three days but we appreciate his service.

CS isn't my favorite list either but like IC said its the only one that is both a) final right now and b) goes far enough for us to use for the whole mock. A lot of the other ones are free only up to 30 or 100. In the future I guess we could use Bob's list for the top 30 and then CS after that.

Anchorage is making one of its next 2 picks(19 and 23) available for trade if anyone is either looking to move up or looking to move a player for a pick.
