I hope those who participated in this had fun. We're going to be starting our 6th and final mock draft in a few days, so if you haven't sent in a list of teams, I suggest you do it soon. Message them to either myself, RR, or Water Knight..

Can Pittsburgh have Kayle Doetzel with their last pick?

Also, one good idea when we pick teams would be to have consecutive teams. Ie: LA Boston, Florida Colorado.

Just a way to speed it up.

They can. I left that one open when filling in the skipped picks since I knew you would make it as soon as you could. If I had of filled it, it would have been Doetzel anyways.

^all guys i would have chosen as well for my teams. for the Isles sake, i'm hoping wingers Mantha, Motte and goalie Saros turn out. they're probably the guys the Isles can use the most.

Positive: LW prospect depth improved.

My favorite draft picks for the Islanders were Connor Rankin and Anthony Mantha.

Negative: Not sure I would have taken a goalie in the 4th, since the Islanders didn't have a 2nd rounder (and not many RW prospects) , but I understand the move. Juuse Saros is a decent goalie prospect and he wouldn't have lasted long if he was the guy you were targeting.

Only 1 RW drafted, and the Islanders prospect pool has very little depth in that area

Buckles and Harms were under consideration for the pick that ended up being Motte but I had Motte ranked higher. I guess I could have gone Lipsbergs-Harms or Buckles-Burke rather than Saros-Motte-Rankin but hindsight is 20-20 and I liked how Saros did in international play

^don't forget that more than a few centers over the years have been drafted as centers and then converted into wingers a few years later. Saros is the top Euro goalie in the draft but that doesn't necessarily mean he's a blue chipper....the Oilers drafted Samu Perhonen a few years ago and he was the best Euro goalie at the time....i thought it was a great pick, but he just hasn't developed into what the Oil were hoping for, so Saros is still a gamble, but you only spent a 4th rounder, so no big loss if he doesn't make it in my opinion.
