whats the deal with so many teams, there is 27. a bit too much.

The US is huge. If anything, there's too few...

anyways im trying to get into mls. can someone do a top 10 best players in MLS?

In no particular order,

Josef Martinez (when healthy): Atlanta United
Carlos Vela (when healthy): LAFC
Alejandro Pozuelo: Toronto FC
Raul Ruidiaz: Seattle Sounders
Diego Rossi: LAFC
Nico Lodeiro: Seatlle Sounders
Chicharito: LA Galaxy
Gustavo Bou: New England Revolution
Lucas Zelarayen: Columbus Crew
Gyasi Zardes: Columbus Crew

Just my opinion, but at least those first 6 I mentioned everyone would be in agreement with.

I think this is a solid list. A few others I would add that are particularly fun to watch/talented:

Nani (still killing it!): Orlando
Dike (American Lukaku-lite?): Orlando
Caden Clark (US phenom, secured a RB Leipzig move already): RBNY
Zelarayan (insanely talented Argentinian #10): Columbus
Ruidiaz (Peru international, great goal scorer): Seattle

Giving the defenders some love...

Long (USMNT caliber, unfortunately out for the season): RBNY
Gomez Andrade (best CB?): Seattle
Adnan (very talented Iraqi internatioanl): Vancouver
Zimmerman (USMNT caliber): Nashville

Keepers....

Turner (#3 on USMNT depth chart): New England
Blake (Jamaica starter): Philadelphia
Gallese (Peru starter): Orlando

I appreciate folks recognizing that Zelarayan is so awesome that he deserves to be listed twice. ;)

Seems like this year every game i watch a teenager is playing well. Busio was very good for Kansas City and 17 year old Sullivan scored his first for Philadelphia on a bicycle kick.

Busio may not be in the MLS by the end of the summer based on rumors though I expect like usual his MLS team will try and let him stay on loan until ending of the season.

Time to give some love to a defensive midfielder.

Diego Chara, Portland.

Speaking of Portland and midfielders (and note that Diego Valeri belonged in the overall conversation until the last couple years), watch out for Eryk Williamson. Learning the art of DM from the master while able to make more than occasional offensive forays. Many of us think the US Men would be in the Olympics if Williamson had been called up.

Seattle is good even without Lodeiro and Morris. I did not expect them to be this good for this long. I know they’ve had 4 draws but 11 games in and still no losses with missing 2 of their 3 best players is crazy.

Neville has a pair of Higuain's , Ulloa and Shawcross on his bench... i take it things aren't going well for Inter Miami

Ali Curtis and Chris Armas is the worst manager/coach combination in the league. Possibly in all of North and South America.

I'd add Joao Paulo and Cristian Roldan from Seattle, Jamiro Monteiro from Philly, Luciano Acosta from Cincinnati, and Randall Leal from Nashville

well that was the most disappointing LAG match in recent memory. really not sure how they didn't manage to score a single goal with all those chances they had. if chicharito had played, he would've had a hat trick in the first half. coulibaly injury seemed to be the turning point of the game for LAG. this was cabral's chance to shine and he completely blew it. wouldn't mind seeing him move to the bench at this point

on the bright side, vasquez and grandsir played great. just hoping the injuries to chicharito and sega aren't long-term ones. this team is at that point where they're good enough to beat the bad teams and not good enough to beat the top ones
