Syndergaard out with strep throat tomorrow. You cant make this stuff up. He now will no longer be in line to pitch the WC game unless the Mets entirely skip him until his next scheduled start on 9/30. They may be able to do this if they sweep this weekend and Chicago beats St. Louis, otherwise he likely needs to be brought back Mon/Tue vs Miami.

According to Abraham:

Archer beat the Red Sox the first time he faced them in 2012. He is 0-10, 5.56 in 15 starts since.

Wonder if there are any other instances where a team owns a top pitcher to that extreme?

Chris Tillman might aswell be skipped when he plays the jays. We all know what the end result will be.

The only team that will be in the playoffs that I can stomach is the Cubs. The rest I cant stand. Id prefer the AL Champion to win.

Anyone but the Dodgers. If not the Giants I might be rooting for the Indians. Then if they win the world series they can play Wild Thing or something and have Charlie Sheen throw out the first pitch. That probably won't happen. They probably will have someone like LeBron James do it.

Considering Charlie's past few years, you didn't need the "probably". Also, G1 of the WS is on Oct 25th, the season opener for the Cavs.

Astros are choking against the Angels. You can't get shutdown by that staff in your ballpark at this juncture.

Mariners up 2-0.

Tigers and Jays en route to easy wins.

Orioles have tied it. Alvarez homers in the 8th and Wieters in the 9th.

Astros tie it up as well.

Tyler White gives them a 4-3 lead.

Looks like Jake's mechanics problem is solved.

I feel sorry for anybody who faces him moving forward.

This start might have pushed him ahead of Lester and Hendricks for CY.
