Nylander is having a bounce back year and I think is a great player. Something around Nylander and Dumba seems fair.

it sounds fair but Dumba isn't the defenseman this team needs. TOR needs a solid defensively excellent defenseman.

Doughty still has it but is complacent and tries to do too much because he wants to win. If he is traded then it has to be for a young D...

Teams don't trade young top d-men for wingers, because d-men are far more important.

Marner has an incredible skillset, but him being a winger decreases that value.

The Leafs have 2 #1 Dmen in Rielly and Barrie, a #2 Dman in Muzzin, a #4 in Dermott, a #4 in Holl, and 2 stud kid prospects in Sandin and Lil....Ceci is garbage.

at last TOR admits it needs to deal quality strength for quality need.

Guys like Heiskanen or Parayko etc are not available

In the next tier is the emerging still rfa expiring Deangelo
he will command close to Dumba's 6 per but with a long term escalating deal you can probably do more like 4 for the first year next season.

I consider
Buch [helps replace Nyl offense a bit] + Geo + Dea
for
Nylander

to be an overpayment, but something around that can work

IF it is, no solution going forward until it IS addressed
