I got to watch both a ton back in 2011-2012 when they were both AHL rookies here in Norfolk. Johnson looked like a star in the making from day one, but Palat just looked like future depth guy. He made a massive leap in Syracuse the next season, and has obviously become one of the better wingers in the game.
