He doesn't do them any favors but Crosby has 1 goal in 10 games & Malkin is goalless in 12 games. When your best players are struggling you're not going to be doing too well especially on a team like Pittsburgh where there isn't as much scoring depth behind those two.

If I was playing for that brick head that is looking like Lavi more and more I would be underperforming too. Guy doesn't know how to do matchups and he has two superstars. Actually , Lavi would probably do better....

So the Blues might make a pitch for Miller around the trade deadline and BJ's might not sign Gaborik at the end of this season.....what a waste of assets for Gaborik if that is the case.

Columbus needs to build from the ground up with solid drafting. They need to build a good foundation with ELCs and RFAs they can control before they can start giving stuff up for UFA candidates, or this will happen. That's the problem with those guys, if they don't want to stick around and wait for the org to make the team competitive, they can just go elsewhere.
