Do we have any age restriction for players in the poll? 1994 YOB or later?
I’m assuming he’s meaning for down the line. That way guys like Walker, Liam and even Barber are omitted since they are pretty much past the “prospect” point in their career
Why? Is there someone you want removed?
Hershey with a 4-1 win for their 5th straight win. Samsonov with 20 saves. Trending in the right direction!
Ah. Up to you guys. IDCI’m assuming he’s meaning for down the line. That way guys like Walker, Liam and even Barber are omitted since they are pretty much past the “prospect” point in their career
I agree but tie goes to the skaterI voted Alexeyev but it is a tie really between he and Samsonov.
Why? Is there someone you want removed?

I really don't care either way. So sure.My question is do we consider Sergei Kostenko as a prospect? If not, the same question for Hampus Gustafsson, etc. The other question is are players like Pheonix Copley, Jonas Siegenthaler or Nathan Walker be considered as graduated?
One need to have less than 82 NHL starts (41 for goalies) and be 1994 YOB or later to be a prospect (player names in red). What do you think?

Vote to add Siegenthaler next poll thenI really don't care either way. So sure.
Out of this list I’d keep the 1993 birthdays on. Only one I’d take out is Travis Boyd. He’s graduated status. My question is do we consider Sergei Kostenko as a prospect? Shumakov went back to the KHL after playing a few games for Florida's affiliate, Springfield. He's currently 7-2-1-3 -3 with Avangard Omsk.
Fjällby is in Sweden with Djurgârdens, 13-0-3 0. He picked up an assist in 2 games in the EHT, which I guess is a mini tournament.

Yeah I agree. Unfortunately I think Liam, Lewington and Walker aren’t exactly “prospects” any more. The only reason I don’t put Barber in that group is because he has missed a lot of time with injuries and I think he deserves a call up with his play this season. Everyone else from Gustafsson down in your list is still considered a prospect in my eyes, even if they receive minimal votes later down the line.OK. Let's add Jonas Siegenthaler (D) and/or Riley Barber (RW) at the next step?
A player will be considered a prospect until he meets the following criteria:
If a prospect is a skater (forward, defenseman) and has played in 65 NHL games or more before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday; or, if a goaltender has played in 45 NHL games before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday, that player will be considered graduated to the NHL. Conversely, if a player completes the season of his 24th birthday without passing those milestones, then that player will no longer be considered a prospect by Hockey’s Future, regardless of the player’s status with his NHL club.
An NCAA player who signs his first contract at or above the age of 22 has three years to meet the above criteria (65/45), while those NCAA players that turn pro under the age of 22 will be subjected to the criteria above.
European players who sign their first NHL contract at or above the age of 22 have three seasons from the time they sign that contract to meet the above criteria. Those European players below the age of 22 that have signed a NHL contract will be subjected to the criteria in section one.
Section one is the meat of the criteria as it will govern the majority of players that vie for a NHL roster spot. Sections two and three are simply an acknowledgement that some prospects arrive on the scene a bit later than their peers, thus needing some time past their 24th birthday to develop into an NHL-caliber player.
The graduated list on team pages will consist of players who are considered graduated to the NHL. A skater prospect may sit on the graduated list until he has played 130 games in the NHL. A goalie prospect may sit on the graduated list until he has played 90 games in the NHL.
SoHockeysfuture used to define prospects as such:
Kostenko hasn’t been considered a prospect for quite some time. They cut bait with him a few years back. I’d still personally count Barber as a prospect over Liam but that’s my personal preferenceSo
- Everyone from 1995 YOB or later are Prospects except Jakub Vrána (LW/RW), Madison Bowey (D) and André Burakovsky (LW/RW), who are Graduated.
- Sergei Kostenko (G), Hampus Gustafsson (C/LW), Mathias Bau Hansen (LW/RW), Mason Mitchell (LW) and Tyler Lewington (D) are Prospects.
- Riley Barber (RW), Nathan Walker (LW), Travis Boyd (C), Pheonix Copley (G), Michael Sgarbossa (C) are No longer considered the Prospects.
- I do not know what to do with Liam O'Brien (C/LW). His birthday is 29 Jul. 1994. Did he turned 24 in 2017/18 season or did he in 2018/19 one?
I'm going to attribute it to the young guys finally settling in and the team getting healthier overall. Having to ice 3-4 ECHL level defensemen every night was killing them.Hershey has really turned it around. It looks like the number of shots they are giving up has dropped significantly. Any changes to the system? Or players getting accustomed to the system and the team getting healthier?
