I think it's safe to say Gillis has effectively replaced Hodgson's role on this team.

I don't think this is a fair question, why would you have to have one or the other? Is there a limit on right handed centers, is that like having a checking specialist or a power play quarterback now?

That said, Santo's playing fantastic and for the money is a screaming deal.
