Just like the good ol' days in Washington!
Except this was his first hat-trick, but okay
Just like the good ol' days in Washington!
One of the most kawaii players in the league
he had 7 goals in 74 games last year
No, because he was horse **** in his own end and lost us a ton of games, especially in the playoffs. He takes very stupid penalties as well. If we had a legit elite all-around D like Chara instead of Green, we would've been past the 2nd round already.
This x100.
I don't care how many hat tricks Green gets, he is a horrible defensive player. Was very happy he wasn't re-signed in D.C.
Anyone know how often defensemen score hat tricks in the NHL?
Probably less than 1 per year league wide, I would imagine?
Just curious.

He's not, though. He used to be.
This is just wrong. Green has been fairly capable defensively with the Wings.
Speaking of Green and offence: what happened to him that causes his offensive production to drop so dramatically? I know he's had a lot of injuries; did they pile up and affect him long-term?
Good thing i had him on my bench.. SMH
5 goals on 25 shots You arent going to win many with swiss cheese goaltending like that.We put 32 on detroit BTWHammond looked terrible on those goals.
It's less common than in the past, but there's still between 0-2 a year (2010-11 had 5!), with 1 on average.
Since 10-11 - Weber, Ristolainen, Suter (x2), Burns, Visnovsky, Lidstrom, Chara, Subban, Jovanovski
Not in last seasons playoffs he wasn't.
and unlike Erik Karlsson, can play defense while doing it
